PRESS RELEASE

Eish Studios is a new unique creative South African Design Company unlike any other! Eish is currently showcasing the "New Modern South Africa”, for the first time, through their unique greeting cards, postcards, wedding invitations, birthday cards and other novelties. The items will feature African themes of more than just one race group or of people living in South Africa. It will also have mixed race marriages (for the first time ever in SA) and a “Gay” friendly selection. Eish is even introducing a unique Afrikaans range, amongst many others to come.
Eish has incorporated a modern new look and myriads of African themes representative of SA and its people.  Products focus on the spirit of Africa and uniquely cater for cultural diversity. The Eish Collection is a showcase of the beauty and wonders of the “Real Rainbow Nation”.For the tourism industry and 2010 World Cup, Eish has also designed a range of unique postcards, all of which are now available to retailers.Research indicates that the SA market is dominated by imported products from the United Kingdom and America. Eish presents products that are locally produced and reflective of the SA culture and land. Products are created in the highest quality, compared to some of the current, sometimes disappointing and limited products on the market.Petroleum company Shell, recently approached Carla Maritz, an artist who works for Eish to propose a new poster image for their campaign. She has been selected based on her artwork and postcards seen on the Eish website. In each country that Shell has a company, one artist has been chosen to do the same poster representing their country in this particular campaign. Carla Maritz is an exceptional artist who understands and relates to how all ethnic and other South Africans live. She has worked for many years as a graphic artist, illustrating text books for the South African school curriculums, managing and briefing other artists. Her clients have ranged from Nasou via Africa, Maskew Miller Longman and many other large and smaller publishers. Inspired by Africa, its people and wildlife, Maritz is able to capture the vibrancy and differences of the continent, to that of other countries. She achieves diversity through her use of colour, her personal creative and artistic abilities and no limitations mentality, when doing illustrative work.
